FanTan 番攤 番摊
FanTan (番攤) is a form of gambling long played in China. The game is simple. The banker puts on the table a handful of small buttons which he covers with a metal bowl. The players guess what remainder will be left when the pile is divided by four, and bet upon the result. There are several ways in which a player may lay her stakes on the table, this includes Fan (番), Nim (念), Kok (角), Ar (丫) and Sam Mun (三門).
